Welcome our New Management Team

Andrew Sellers has accepted the position of Four Seasons Towne Club manager.  Andrew will
oversee day to day operation of the pool and staff.  Andrew has a solid background with pools and
pool management.  He has also coached the Washington Township Rec Center Sharks.  Andrew and
his family were members as well several years ago.  Andrew is looking forward to getting the season
started!

Mike Heinrichs will be on board as our assistant this year.  Mike has worked at Four Seasons for the
last several years in various capacities including acting assistant manager.  He and his family are long-
time members of Four Seasons.

Board Changes for 2009

Maintenance:  Mick Feldmeyer has decided to extend his 3 years in the changing of the guard by
assisting new board member Jim Hastings in transition.  During Mick’s time on the board, he has been
the leadership in front of ambitious undertakings such as complete renovation of the tennis courts,
painting just about every inch in and outside the clubhouse, remodeling the office, building the
reception counter, and replacing the clubhouse roof, to mention a few.   This is in addition to the annual
start-up, shut-down and day-to-day issues that Mick would appear to tackle with ease.  His efforts have
obviously enhanced the appearance and everyone’s enjoyment of Four Seasons.  He has elected to
stay on to help Jim get started this year.  Please be sure to thank Mick for all that he has done.

Jim Hastings is a 1 year member of Four Seasons.  His engineering and technical background will
undoubtedly be helpful keeping the momentum moving forward on various projects in the coming
years.

Marketing:  Vivian O’Connell has finished her 3 years with the board.  Vivian helped keep the Four
Seasons name out in the public by organizing charitable donation drives for homeless and children’s
charities.  She has also helped make sure the news media was aware of the accomplishments of our
swim team’s championship achievement this year.  When you next see Vivian, thank her for her efforts
to promote Four Seasons.  Evidently, Vivian is hard to replace!  At this point, the Marketing position is
still open.  If you have an interest, please contact a board member.

Social:  Emily Greer also has generously offered to stay on the board for at least an additional year.
She will rely on Tracy Brown and other social committee members to help her continue to plan and
develop some memorable and fun activities for members to enjoy.  Some unique and creative ideas
that Emily introduced to Four Seasons include our opening party, complete with a great live band.
Many of our members over the last 3 years are familiar with Four Seasons and joined us after they
attended this open-to-everyone party.

Vice President:  Bridget Minnis will join the board this year as VP.  Bridget has a well-deserved
reputation of being a careful buyer, which will help in keeping the snack bar stocked.  We look forward
to having Bridget on board.

President:  Beth and Steve Potter are finishing their time on the board this year.   Both started by
serving in the athletics position and moved to President after Jim O’Neil completed his term.  The
Potters graciously opened their home for board meetings and were always a great source of help with
welding or other tough maintenance tasks.  Beth has agreed to stay on in the Marketing slot until a
replacement is found.

At the end of the season, several board positions will open up.  If you are interested, please contact a
board member now for more information.  This is a fun way to help out, meet new people, and enjoy
being involved at Four Seasons.

Membership Dues

Once again, dues will remain at the unchanged rate of $340 for family membership.  This has been
consistent for the last several years and is an exceptional value!

*Please note dues not received by 5/1/09 WILL BE RETURNED and will have to include a late fee
charge of $25 before being accepted.  NO POOL USAGE WILL BE PERMITTED until membership
fees and applicable late charges are paid in full.  Dues that are paid on time allow for expenses to be
met and chemicals, material and stock to be purchased for the season’s operating costs.  Timely
payment helps keep everyone’s annual fee low and is very much appreciated.
Where Your Money is Spent at Four Seasons

Membership Benefits

As always, members are encouraged to utilize the Four Seasons facility as their summer
entertainment venue.  This is a free of charge benefit for all Four Seasons members.  All non-member
guests will be charged standard rates as visitors.  If interested, please contact Andrew Sellers or Mike
Heinrichs for scheduling.

Back again after popular demand, pre-paid guest passes are available at a rate of 10 for $30.  Guest
passes can only be used when attending the pool with a member.  This is a $10 savings over the
normal cost of $4 each pass at the door.

Pool Schedule

This year, in an effort to keep costs down, during the first few weeks the pool is open in May and June
(5/25-5/28; 6/1-6/4) and the last week of August and first week of September (8/26-8/27; 8/31 and 9/1-
9/3) the pool will close at 8pm.  This change will only occur on Centerville’s scheduled school nights.
Also, throughout the entire season, the snack bar will now close one hour before the pool does at the
end of the last rest break.

Employment Opportunities

Each year, Four Seasons relies on filling the snack bar and lifeguard staffing needs with members.
We are evaluating applicants for each job now.  If you have been involved in the past, or would like to
be considered this season, please contact Dan Meyer in writing no later than 4/15/09 via email at
dan_meyer@sbcglobal.net .  There will be a limited number of positions this year, and any interested
persons must apply for consideration.  Snack bar workers must be at least 14 by the beginning of the
pool season.  Lifeguards must be certified, and when applying, have copies of documentation.

Red Cross Certification

The pool is considering the possibility of offering on-site courses for Red Cross Certification.  Please
contact Andrew Sellers if interested.

Swim Team

A Note from Coach Hicks
I am looking forward to another season with 4 Seasons swim team. We are coming off a 1st place
finish so we have a lot to live up to. I am anxious to see how much everyone has grown, who has lost
teeth, who has had some fill in! I am still working on firming up the coaching staff, so nothing to report
on that end. Swimmers, I hope that if you haven't been swimming all winter, that you take some time
this spring to get in the water to freshen up the skills. We are always looking for new swimmers on the
team. Basic requirements are that you be able to swim one length of the pool. With 6 and unders, we
give them a little more wiggle worm. We teach you the rest. Being on the summer swim team is fun,
social, and great exercise for kids of all ages. Our team ranges in age from 4 yrs old, to 18. If you are
interested in joining but have questions, feel free to contact me at siobhan@keyswimming.com .  Until
May, stay healthy, keep working hard in school, and get excited about being on the number one
summer team in the league!
Coach Siobhan

New and Improved for 2009

Over the winter, a few remodeling tasks were completed, one by choice, the other by necessity.  The snack
bar is sporting a new window.  This window replaces the old screen and plywood cover that had seen better
days.  Dean Monnin of Dayton Door Sales (253-9181) provided Four Seasons with an exceptionally
generous discount and professional installation of 2 windows.

Shortly after the pool closed last season, on 2 instances, the clubhouse was forcibly broken into.  The first
incident resulted in minimal damage.  However, the second incident caused the double front doors to be
destroyed.  In both cases, some light vandalism occurred as well.  A replacement is pending and will be in
place by the beginning of the season.  Hopefully, this is an isolated incident.  However, if in passing the pool
anytime and noticing any suspicious activity, please report it to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office at
225-4357, or 911 if it is an emergency.
